new to effects, need help

For delay, I use an Earthquaker Devices Disaster Transport Jr. They can be had for under $150 new, and sound amazing. It's a darker, analog sounding delay and that is what you want for spacey sounds.

I agree with grue that chorus sounds very 80s, especially Boss style chorus. Go with an EHX Small Clone or save up to buy a Sea Machine.

A good Filter is going to cost $$$ but is worth it. My first filter effect was an EHX Micro Qtron that suffered from volume drop and tone suckage. Iron Ether, Subdecay and 3Leaf all make great filters in basic and deluxe models.

Lastly, do yourself a favor and get a decent fuzz pedal. There are a lot of options for under $150 and the more expensive ones show up for less than that in the Buy/ Sell /Trade forums all the time. Dump the Bass Big Muff, search this forum to get ideas and see what is right for your needs.

hmm i dont think i will really need a new fuzz pedal, i wouldnt need it that much. as for chorus, i dont want a subtle chorus like the small clone, i want the most noticable, watery sound chorus i can find. ive been listening to clips of the Iron Ether Polytope, T-Rex Sweeper, and Rocktron Deep Blue. of the three, i think the Polytope, even though it isnt a chorus pedal, can sound the closest to what i want, but only at specific settings, and i havent found one for sale anywhere. the Sweeper sounds really cool, it seems like it would be the better buy... what do you guys think?
