Looking to get a pedal in the future. There is one big music store about 30 min away. Is it allright if I ask to try out a pedal before I buy it? Not sure if there is a policy on something like that.

the big chain stores usually have a pedal setup that you can mess around with. a smaller store should be even more helpful and let you try their pedals. if they dont let you try it, dont buy ANYTHING from that place!
