Yes.... I don't know how to take pictures that'll show its shining qualities....
but I borrowed my brother's Canon Ixus 7 megapixel camera, and I even uploaded the full resolution photos (big!) to my website here.

Yes, it is quite a good-looking piece. The wood also has some nice curls which don't show very well in the photos, but you can sort of see it in the first photo on the left-hand end of the body.

I'm so eager to put the instrument together right now, but I don't have the parts (bridge and pickups).

That's a beautiful bass you've got there. How heavy is the bubinga body? I have a Warwick Corvette Standard with the bubinga body and I swear it's the heaviest bass I own. Other than weight I think bubinga is both beautiful and a great tone wood. Good luck on the rest of the build.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you decide on an ETS bridge on a non-ERB instrument? That's quite a bit of trouble to go through for a 4-string bridge. Of course I am ignorant on the matter, so fill me in!

Two reasons.

First, I want piezo pickups. This is the most important reason.

Second, I want a two-piece bridge, like Jerzy Drozd and Warwick, where the string anchor is seperate from the bridge. The reason for this is that I intend to place the anchor piece as far from the bridge as possible, so I don't have to worry about exposed-core strings exposing their core too far past the bridge witness point. This is a less important reason, my idea was that I would put on a set of Warwick Dark Lord strings or similar for sub-contra tuning.
But probably for the most part I'll tune it the usual E A D G.

Of course, now I wish I had a straight Gotoh 201 bridge so I could finish the instrument.
