Newb in Indy

Hey guys. awesome looking forum. I own/administer a poker forum and know it's a lot of work. Thanks for the hard work!

I started playing again after a ~9 year lay off. My good friend started playing guitar so I took my rig over to his place. His neighbors play guitar/drums as well and he has a great set up in his basement. I'm playing better now than I ever did back in the day but still have a ways to go. I picked up a Squire VM jazz after doing some research. My old bass was a Yamaha RX250. I worked for Chip Ganassi racing at the time and they painted it for me and I had it decaled like the car. Chip, Jimmy Vassar, and Juan Pablo Montoya all signed it. I hung it on the wall and stopped playing. Good to be back at it though.

Thanks everyone for the great advice on gear(and everything else). I can't afford to make poor choices considering how much gear costs. My first purchase because of this site was some DR Hi-Beams to restring the VM. Just awesome.
