Hi All
Just posting and introduction and to say Hi.
I've listened to and been fascinated by the bass (mainly double bass) for many years. To me the bass sets a rhythmic, and harmonic structure for the music, whatever the style.
I'm a guitarist and have played in many styles of bands, for the past 6 years it's been Jazz. During my time with showbands and rock 'n' roll bands, I used to pitch my vocals to the basslines this usually being the most consistent.
I have taken the step of ordering a double bass and a fretless bass, the technique is the thing that I know is going to be difficult (more so on the double bass), but I can see you all have plenty of patience. I promise to search the forums for answers before I post a stupid 'guitarists' question.
Regards
Steve
