After lurking for a short time, I thought I'd give a shout hello. I was a violin major in undergrad. I also play saxophone. I teach junior high band for a living. Last summer when I brought home the school-owned Ibanez SR600, I decided to take lessons on it. Six months later I am still taking lessons and making what I would consider decent progress. I am really loving my new "hobby", the electric bass. Two weeks ago I purchased my first bass of my own , a Fender Geddy Lee Jazz. I have a lot to learn so I will value this forum a great deal!

since there's no question in the original post, I'll just say that the Geddy is one of the nicest Jazz Basses I've had the pleasure to play, the slim neck is just gorgeous and fast, may it serve you well!
