I did have the transistors around the wrong way to start off with, then once I put them in properly, bypass then worked, and active only gave my very slight faded signal, whereas with the transistors back to front, I got nothing at all in both modes. Im pretty certain the transistors are around the right way, the opamp is too, the dot is in the bottom left corner where the first pin is. Im getting the feeling that I have the two 0.047uf and one 2200pf capacitors back to front. They have no pos/neg indication on them so I just looked at the writing on the top of it and had it so it was facing me, assuming that the pos pin is on the left and the neg is on the right. (not sure what type of capacitor these three are, they are rectangular and are of green/greyish colour). The other capacitors I use are electrolytic. Can I fry components when soldering them by having a too powerful soldering iron? Mine is 25watts. I have ordered the proper tonepod pcb so when that comes Il just start again and put fresh components on it. (Ive been making it on a breadboard pcb). Ive read that it was more common for someone to be successful at building this pedal if they had the correct pcb board for it, so I thought it might make things easier for me. Il also make an audio probe just to check as Im going along the circuit, making sure things are in properly. Hopefully all will work out. I really appreciate the help guys, sorry for being a pain.
