NFAAD!! Markbass content

That would be "New Freakin' Awesome Amp Day!!" :)

After selling off some guitar gear I had some $$$ for a better amp. I've been rockin' (lol!) a Ibanez Soundwave 20W, biding my time - waiting to get some money together to get something that I wanted.

Decided I wanted a combo, light, but had to sound 100% awesome and be loud enough for band work even though I'm not in a band at the moment.

Went to GC, started playing amps...man, this one sounds sooo awesome, what's the price...?? OUCH! Are you serious!? But...But...I...must...have...that...tone....!!! 15% with the coupon...not bad, can you take a combination of cash & credit? You can...oy....ok, I'll take it!

Markbass Mini CMD 121P 1X12. So freakin' awesome. Has the Little Mark II head built into the combo, but can be removed if you want to. So I went from crap to freakin' awesome in about an hour. Go it home and it sounds just as good here as it did in the store.

I am PUMPED! Ready to spend the weekend with my new baby trying to dial in the tones I like. Very expensive, but I usually buy cheap and am disappointed in the long run. I don't think I will be this time :bassist::bassist:

congrats, my friend!!!;)

i was in GC one day and heard this massive tone emitting from the bass room. i see this guy thumpin' and i start looking around for which rig he's playing. the last and least suspect rig was the combo you bought.

I WAS FREAKIN' AMAZED!!! great tone and it was loud with no break-up. enjoy your newfound joy!

Definitely the cab is next - I almost bought the little 80W combo with the 8" speaker because it sounded so good. But that little guy didn't sound very good when cranked up and it was so weak it couldn't even drive the MB 2X10 I tried to plug it in to lol!

I figured I might as well bite the bullet and get what I really wanted. It's definitely going to be great weekend. And I can't wait to save up some more cash and land that cab. Then I'm 100% in tone heaven - at least for awhile :)

Congrats on your new Markbass combo! As has been said, start saving for the NY 121 extension cab. I play through both and it really adds a lot to the already great tone. Like other things Italian-made, it begs to be opened up and played loud! Enjoy your new amp.
