I was able to re-acquire this 5564 from my church. I had donated it several years ago and it was not getting played.
When I donated it, it looked like this:
Although it was a very nice burst, I already have an excellent US Lakie in 3TB so I didn't need another one.
I had always wanted a fiesta red P bass (ala Pino Paladino) so I had Pat Wilkins do a refin (Master Luthier Carl Pedigo) did the take down, re-assembly and set up (it really needed the set up!) and made the new guard.
It came back a bit more salmon colored than I expected but I am not disappointed!
I cannot wait to play this one this weekend!
