NGD—Duck Dunn

Really nice bass. I had one years ago. I didn't appreciate P's enough at the time to not let it go.

Enjoy your bass!

I can also say that, word for word. Traded a Sterling for it (sort of a mistake at the time), didn't know what I had in the DD (with black P/G, so pretty), sat it on the sidelines, traded it years later for a Lakland Decade, then traded/paid for a Reverend Thundergun that is now sitting around gathering dust.

I wish I had that DD back as now I have a hankerin' for P basses.

I almost bought one back in the day. But I was going through my "I hate red basses" stage at the time and couldn't pull the trigger. Now I like (and have) several red basses, and have had a few others... :D

Sames, I also hated red basses and then I ONLY bought red basses. So strange.

I could really go for a P-bass with a Jazz-ish neck though, too bad I wasn't in that mindset when this was more readily available.

I bought one of the first-year Skyline Ducks and gigged it almost exclusively for a full decade. I took my '95 American Standard P along as a backup. After Fender upped its quality game, I went back to American Fenders (and happily so), but the Duck was an amazing bass. Glad you got yours back!
