I got this a week ago but decided now was a good time to post since i have decided its a keeper. I picked up an ibanez S8 new off the shelf. Ive been out of guitar for a while and left off on a 7 string. After hearing Animals as Leaders live i was convinced to get an 8. Not because its an 8 string but because of the possibilities you have with it musically. I have it tuned as Tosin tunes. EBEADGBe.
Some specs
Mahogany body
Maple/walnut 5 piece quarter sawn neck
Rosewood (looks to be indian) fingerboard
Ibanez pickups (those will be going)
5 way selector with vol and tone
Im going to switch out the tuners with spretzles and i may make ebony replacement pieces for some parts like the tone selector cover and the TR cover. But im not sure yet.
