Nice Fender trio

Before hooking up with Fender Bailey played "JazzParts" basses for years - here he is in a trio setting in Germany 1994 with Terje Rypdal and Billy Cobham: . At the 9:30 mark the trio play one of Bailey's tunes - "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow". Unbelievably haunting.

Funny guy and a sick fracking player.

I've seen Victor twice. The first time in a fairly big concert hall and was him with Hiram Bullock on guitar and I think Omar Hakim on drums - or it could have been Dennis Chambers or Harvey Mason - was kind of a long time ago. The second time was when he was with his own band in a smaller jazz club. He was really happy to hang out and chat after the gig. A nice guy with a good sense of humour. He seemed to like a drink and a smoke and had an eye for the ladies;)

On the first gig he was just totally supportive. On his own gig he let rip. he can do harmonics and slapping a lot better than you expect after hearing his groove based stuff. Also talked a lot to the audience, interesting anecdotes. I think he's a killer player and a nice guy.

Very cool. That's totes what I think he would be like. I've had the occasion to chat with George Porter Jr and Dave Schools and both of those guys were very funny and down to earth. I can only hope I would be that way if I had that kind of talent.
