Double Bass Nice short melodies for double bass?

Ok, so I’m looking for some easy, but nice melodies that sound ‘good’ on the double bass For example, ‘Ode To Joy’ sounds ok, and even ‘Old MacDonald Had A Farm’ is fun - does any one have any other suggestions? Thanks!

Have you consider Kodaly melody? They are small pieces meant to develop the tonal center for beginner.

A few thing I really like about that approach is that it's mostly based on oral tradition, although most of them are transcribe on paper. There is also a progression of difficulty, if you follow a logical path. It use moveable DO, meaning it can be easily adapted to any tonality. The usual progression start with So and Mi. Then add La. Then you can go either toward Re, Do or up.

Hot Cross Bun is used and a lot of "children" songs. I got a list in french that I use but would recommend making one in the langage you are teaching.
