NIN "Discipline" Live Tone

Watching the tour DVD from another version of the truth. Your tone on Discipline and all the songs for that matter is blowing my mind. whats going on there to make your tone so huge. Seems like you have some really nice boost going on especially when you use a pick? Are you using the Aguilar? Did the FOH use your amp sound or DI primarily? Sorry about all the questions. It's just so righteous.

oh and also just curious on Discipline was that a midi controller you were playing or a just some small keyboard... couldnt get a good look at it.

Hey there,

Thanks for the info. The sound is not much cab, and lots of TEch 21 VT Bass into a Sans Amp PSA-1.1, and a Palmer Speaker Simulator.

Just a MIDI controller, yes. We were driving either Native Massive or Arturia Minimoog.
