NIN on ACL...

I was wondering if you checked out the ACL Nine Inch Nails did with Pino on bass which aired a few weeks ago.

Do you find it interesting to listen to, or see how other bass players tackle parts and "make them their own". It seems particularly interesting with an act such as NIN as trent always seems to seek out some different musicians (such as yourself) to breath a bit of life into the stage show of those songs.

Anyway,

You are a pretty busy dude these days, so not sure if you bothered to check it out. But if you did, do you have a take on it?

Pino with Nails is REALLY interesting to me. I have to say that I thought he looked a little out of place when I saw the EXTREMELY visual arena tour show last fall. Just standing still tapping his boot and looking at the neck of the bass (much like I always do actually, ha ha ha) when Trent, Josh, and Robin were owning the crowd and playing to the production. But, dang. What he was doing musically was so so cool. Lots of fuzzed out fretless Stingray and some other unique textures, and obviously his grove on some of the new tunes like All Time Low for example is just... Wow.

I haven't seen the ACL thing yet. Thanks for reminding me to seek it out. I'm sure it is really cool.
