I was making fun of you for being home listening to an eight track of REO Speedwagon on a Friday night as I'm home watching Star Trek on the same Friday night.

Mrs.Fingers and I are going out tomorrow night. I've reached that age where if I try to go out two nights in a row my poor kids will be fatherless for like a week. So I'm relaxing tonight too.

Watching the Muscle Shoals movie..... again.

If you've got the strength to be responsible you have nothing to feel bad about. We've all met plenty of musicians who were flakes.
You don't seem to fit the description.

The last time I played an 8-track was when I found a Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention 8 track for fifty cents at some thrift store. I took it home, stuck it in ye olde stereo system (the kind where the buttons come flying out at you when you push one after they get loose or break off inside) whereupon it was promptly eaten within a song or two. I got frustrated, turned on the radio and they announced that Zappa had died.
We used to play carts on the radio when I was in college. I'd kind of like to have a working cart machine, for some reason.
