No Gig Money

In a band now where I average about $300 a gig, and dont pay for gas, food, or lodging, so it is actual profit. Couple that with my day job and I have plenty of money to buy gear....UNTIL NOW, have a baby on the way.....so not too much money for gear. Except I am buying a G50 wireless today.

All of my gear that I use for gigging has been bought with gig money over the years. The "collectible" guitars I have were not though.

I've usually had 2-3 gigs/month for many years until last summer. But now I'm in three bands and have so many gigs I may have to start turning some down. Woohoo! Most all of my equipment has been bought with gig money. All I need is another cab for my Markbass combo.

And then, there's my motorcycles and astronomy gear...oh my...

I have no gig money that I can use for purchases. How many of you are in the same boat?
Yep! I was just relieved from a band with 20 gigs on the books. So I'm missing about $100-$300 per! Gotta start from scratch again with the new band who's not making that kind of scratch right now! All in all, I think I have all I need right now. I don't do much, if any, non paying gigs. I also do a lot of trading to get what I need.
