Noisy Eden Terra Nova Preamp Pedal

I have been an Eden / SWR player since the 90's and wanted that sound on a flyrig pedalboard. I bought the Eden WTDI, but didn't like it. More recently I got the Eden Terra Nova preamp pedal. It's a bit big but had the tone I was looking for. Problem is there is an unmanageable high-frequency hiss from the DI out at even the 12 o'clock treble knob position. The 1/4" out is quiet, though not as quiet as running DI out of an Eden or SWR amp head DI. I even bought a second pedal to see if it was just a one-off, but it wasn't. Just too noisy to go DI into a concert PA system.

I'd really like to have a preamp on my board that gives me consistent tone to the FOH. Other than going through a separate DI box or keeping the treble at 9:00, anyone found a solution to the hiss noise problem on the Terra Nova pedal?
