NOOB: Modelling / Amplitube: get off original sound

I'm an Amplitube (and others) noob: I use a Zoom G2.1 as DAC but as I use an amp modeller (es. Amplitube) I can hear my "original" clear bass sound along with the processed sound, if I turn down "master volume" in Amplitube I can clearly hear my clear bass.


I tried to set my Zoom in bypass but it does no help (it makes no processing on the Zoom DSP but I still hear the clean sound), there's a mute option in it but it actually mute everything.
Is there a way I can hear just the processed sound?

Is Amplitube on an insert, or a send? If it is on a send you are always going to have at least 50% dry signal.

I'm using Amplitube as a standalone (no DAW, it's very own interface in live), I'm checking the manual but I can't find where the insert / send control is... Any advice?
I'm starting do doubt the my Zoom G2.1 is able to send a "DRY" signal through USB...
Maybe the newer G3/B3 can send a DRY sound?

Somewhere the signal is being split, and you're getting both clean tone and the Amplitube processed signal coming in parallel to your monitors.

I'm afraid you're going to have to crack the manuals, there will be a signal flow diagram in them somewhere...

I did not find anything in the manual of my Zoom, but I see that others "cheap" DAC (es. Behringer Xenyx 302 USB) are afflicted by the same problem: they don't have a specific control for "mixing" the original sound.

Maybe I will try with linux, with Jack I should be able to have a better view of the routing of the sound and maybe there's some "magic" I can send to the device through the /proc interface. But that won't fix Amplitube.

Maybe I could send a mail to Zoom customer care.

Can somebody confirm that they can get rid of the original sound in Amplitube standalone? Please state wich hardware audio device you are using and if it has a specific "blend" control for the dry sound. OFC thanks in advance
