Nordstrand BigRig Pickups

I just caught a post on Facebook of Nordstrand's new pickups for Alberto Rigoni. They haven't released many details regarding the "BigRig" pickups, but they did create a short demo vid.



I was about to buy some Delano SBC's to swap into my Muckelroy bass, but I think I may hold off until more info becomes available on these!

Has anyone used these yet? I'm thinking of spec'ing my next build with them and wonder what people think. They sound great in the demo and on paper. And I do love the BigSplits, so this is a logical step.

4 wire. Practically they are a dual coil system

I've definitely been interested in a set for my Ibanez SR... The Bart Mk4 pickups just aren't 100% what I'm looking for with this bass. I'd like to hear some response from someone who has an Aggie OBP3 if/when it happens. Otherwise I may go ahead take the plunge and return with my own findings.

I have a Miura 5 on the way with the Aggie "big singles" and OBP3. If I don't like the pups, bigrigs are what's going in it.

That sounds great.

I would love a P bass with a singe BigRig in the P position. That would be so good.

They can be wired either way.
