Does anyone know why Nordstrand are not answering telephone calls or
emails.
Contacted them many times over the past week without success in actually
contacting anyone.

I’ve had many emails answer... I don’t usually call them but they are active, but I’m sure they’re playing catch up with their makeshift adjustments to the stay home order

Just had an email from Adrian explaining that they have transitioned to working from home & trying
to catch up. A logistical nightmare, I should think !?

No doubt, but better than the alternative. From the sound of it, hospitals are at capacity and running out of supplies. Up here, all the folks with 3D printers are building and donating face-shield parts to keep up with the demand until the supply chain catches up.

I have a pickup on order with them, which I'm assuming will arrive after everyone gets the go ahead to go back to work. The bridge for that build is in the same state, as is the neck - all custom stuff at manufacturers on one or the other coast. I do have a case for it, though...;-)

Nordstrand is about the best component company I've ever dealt with (Hipshot and Warmoth are in the same league). If they're not answering your emails or calls, there's probably a very good reason; I'd cut them a whole lot of slack at this point.

Customer service in general is in a really bad position right now. Most place I've called have ridiculous wait times and some are not talking to anyone who isn't having a crisis. And in some cases, the stupid phone trees aren't telling anybody anything except that wait times are longer than normal, not really explaining why. It is becaue they are taking a while to transition to working form home.

I'm on Nordstrand's mailing list and recently, Carey sent out an update, explaining how most of his staff are working from home. Pretty cool... they've taken as much as they can to their home residences to continue the work... and those who still need to go in are practicing under super-safe guidelines.

Carey sends out decent stuff on his mailing list. It's a free sign-up.

And yes, they are an essential business... they're building essentially fantastic audio components!

As it is been already mentioned here, we are working on reduced steam! Some of the guys have been able to take part of the equipment at home and are working out from their garage, living room, kitchen... ;) ... the office is practically closed and most emails are answered from home locations.
Since there's just few left at the shop and are busy (and mostly production crew), it's quite hard to get to the phone... apologies for that!
But nonetheless we are still fulfilling order etc, just at a slower pace!
We can only hope all this will be over soon!

Thank you for your support, appreciated!
