Northern Windows - Carol Kaye

I'm posting this to bring attention to this Hampton Hawes album as I have been completely floored about about it since I found it. I initially read about it on Carols site and then found a few tracks on YouTube. I've since purchased the LP and also the Plus CD which is two albums in one. Is anyone else hip to this album? As David Axelrod says in the liner notes…..THIS RECORD IS ADDICTIVE!. Here is a track as a sample….though I admit it was hard to pick just one. I'll add some more information to the thread if folks are interested in the coming days. Hope some of you enjoy it as much as I have been!

Never heard it before. Totally dig it. Has a dirty and funky 70s NYC vibe (though I suspect LA may be involved).

Thanks for the tip - I always enjoy finding good new music (even when it's actually kinda' old).

Some of the liner notes from the CD. Getting the personnel was challenging to do without reflection. I'll try in the daylight tomorrow. Reads middle, bottom, top….couldn't figure out how to correct the order.
