Notation Software for Bass Guitar

Hello all,

I think I've answered my question, but wanted to confirm. Is there notation software out there where you simply play your bass and the notes you play appear on the software?

I am aware of Guitar Pro 6, but the tutorials are not clear about if the software lets you play your instrument and the note appear. From what I take from the tutorials you have to manually put the notes in.

I've been using GP for iOS and it doesn't have such feature for this platform and I'm not aware it's available for any other operating system as well.
