a live tape (cassette!) of a band I was in back in '90 called World MAchine. we played upstairs at Madame Wong's in Santa Monica, CA. I don't even know if the club is still there.

I was slapping the bejeebers out of my ebony/walnut Fodera AJ.

yikes...! :rollno:

NICE! I bought a cable to go from the headphone out of my stereo to the line in of my computer and ripped most my old band stuff to MP3 years ago. The software I used was EAC (freeware).

Here's were my head was in 1989... We called ourselves Sprout

Stormy Day

Recorded on 3 mics placed strategically about the room attached to a Tascam 4-track... Vocals overdubbed later.

gear wise for me it was an Ibanez EX405 (dual reversed split P) 4 string fretted, Roland BN100 for lowend and Crate G60 for the High. My Ric and 4x12 +1x18 rig had been stolen about 6 months prior... this was my scraped together temp rig

how time changes us!

man, I can't believe we weren't pelted with stones for this performance. I probably sholdn't admit this but I was sporting a mullet back then and often wore leather pants to our gigs!

:rollno:

oh, man...!

the other side of the tape is the band I did right after, Stretch! we were a totally rough and tumble funk meets rock and blues band. raw and blastin'. now this was a righteous gig!
