just finished listening to Jon Cleary & the Absolute Monster Gentlemen's great Pin Your Spin and am about to check out the Jake Sharp Band's Brilliant Shadows. I hear their bass player kills!
Billy Cobham's "Spectrum". Got it in the mail last night. Loved it way back when (released 1973) and never realised it's Lee Sklar! Damn!
Gary Grainger's truly bad @$$ playing on "Make Me" with John Scofield from the Picks and Pans album. yowza!

Upon recommendations on this board, I picked up Clutch's "robot hive/exodus" today and I am listening to it now.

just finished an hour and a half drive from L.A. and spun Norah Jones' first album... TWICE!
