Pat Metheny Group The Way Up - quite possibly their most accomplished work to date. Of course I said the same thing about their last five albums, too.
Lambert Hendricks and Ross Sing A Song Of Basie - the birth of the vocalese, or bloody close to it. Guaranteed to make you grin from ear to ear.
Alison Krauss and Union Station Live - I find myself getting more and more sucked into those vocal harmonies.
The Who Who's Next - the expanded version including some outtakes from what would have been Lifehouse. As fresh sounding today as it was 35 years ago on its release. RIP Ox.
Jeff Beck Blow By Blow - if you were a teenaged musician in the 70s and you were learning to play in a band, you eventually came to grips with Freeway Jam and You Know What I Mean. Cameo appearance by one Steveland Morris on chromatic harp.
