Shout out to @B-LOW for seamlessly transferring my new-to-me D800+ DI pedal! I've had a little bit of time with it today and it's better than I remembered, probably because I understand the controls better now. I had played the amp a while back and liked it, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for at the time. The WD was and is still in regular use. I've had the WD800 and the TT800 for a while, so I've figured out what gets me the sound I want with 3 different preamps that share the same DNA. That helped me feel right at home quickly.
This is going to be a useful addition to my stable. We're getting more gigs with house sound now and I'm looking forward to showing up ampless without compromising my sound. I was already able to get close to the territory that I aim for with the TT. I love the voicing knob and find that for the sounds I want with this band, voicing at 8:00 with the bass and treble rolled back a little, mids bumped a little, gain ~2:00, I'm getting there. But I was playing with the voicing knob playing some other stuff and it feels a little more old-school when turned clockwise, at least at first blush. There's plenty of overall gain. I'm really looking forward to exploring it more.
I used it through the TT to drive the Subway 112/115 stack. Tuner out of the TT to the pedal input, and Preamp out to the Subway channel Effects return, so I can switch between the D800+ and Boogie channel. It's easy to set the levels for comparison. The Boost circuit will come in handy on a couple of songs.
