I know, I know, "No picture? No [item]!"
I wanted a better wah, but then I decide the one I had was "good enough."
Then I wanted a real phaser, because I enjoyed the Small Stone patch in my MS60b.
Then I decided I wanted a really cool phaser, like one of them fancy ones... with some sort of expression pedal option... And before you know it, I'm neck deep in envelope filters and weirdness.
In the end, I bought a used Pigtronix EP-2. It's a phaser! It's an envelope filter! It's got two, count 'em two, expression pedal options... and an external trigger for the envelope filter.
So, it's fun. I can do phasery things. I can do filtery things. I can do them both together. I don't even own an expression pedal, so I don't know why i wanted the option but I can use an external trigger for the filter.
So, that brings us to the meat of the question: Suggestions? I've currently got a Zoom MS60b multi effect that's not doing anything useful that's literally only being used to take a clean blend from the start of the chain (LS-2 in A/B mix) and then feeds into the EF trigger. I can't hear anything, nor do I care, I just want to play stupid filter tricks.
A lot of these effects I've never used on my MS60b, much less chained together. It seems like tremolo does a pretty good job, and so does phaser (which I don't quite understand how that works with the trigger, but whatever).. but what are some other suggestion for things I can use to do stuff in here?
(I realized while typing this I have an ancient Zoom BFX-708 in my closet which probably does a lot of the same things but sounds like crap for being 20 years old and not very good, but has an expression pedal built in and it's not like I can hear the effects, I'm just using it to trip the filter...woo)
