i use the spark as a clean boost to match volume with different basses. In my mind, running it before would have a more similar gain, so it would hit the Nobels similarly.Have You tried reversing the order? (Nobels into Spark)

Yup, and the Spark is really good at clean boost, that's why I'm considering it or an Xotic EP Booster, but this one seems to have more "character". I just want to get rid of my bulky Markbass Super Booster, the boost is clean and somehow middley, nice for solos and indeed when I switch from active to passive basses too.i use the spark as a clean boost to match volume with different basses.
