Happy New Peavey Day to me! Picked this up at a local pawn shop for about $250 with the Peavey teardrop hard case. I've seen them go for less, but I've never seen this color on a bass, save for one. It was more common on the guitars.

I haven't checked the SN yet, but its in great condition. There are some slight remnants of melted case foam (apparently common once Peavey switched from fully fabric lines cases to just putting foam to protect the body and neck). And the previous owner scratched his name (Derek) into the pickguard.

I love my T40's, and I loved this color the second I spotted it, so it was natural to grow my Peavey family. The Super Ferrite pickup sounds awesome, and the location gives a little more honk and bite than a P bass.

Photos don't do the color justice.

Honestly, it took years before I fell
in love with my Patriot. I'm sure glad
I didn't sell it. The melting foam in the
case ruined the original black finish.
That's why I painted it.

I've never seen that color like on
Thedeadking's bass either. It must
be rare.

I love the cat's eyes and the skinny
tale sticking out from behind the
bass.
