This is a full-scale electric upright from NS Design. It has an onboard preamp that charges via a wall plug for up to 16 hours of play time, and it lets you plug in to pretty much any amp or PA for a good-quality sound.
The instrument is currently strung with a set of old Bel Cantos, and - with the exception of the long sustain and immediate attack - sounds about as close to a DB as I've heard a solid-body EUB get. Sounds great both bowed and pizz.
There are no flaws on the instrument except one thing that I wouldn't call a flaw, just an annoyance - the nut slot for the D string is cut a little too low for my action and buzzes, so I put a small piece of paper under the string to raise it up and it eliminated the buzz.
Instrument includes a french Brazilwood bow from Gollihur, a tripod stand, an endpin stand, a K&M stand from Gollihur that is compatible with the endpin, a bow case, a barely-used cake of Carlsson's rosin (might have some Pop's as well), and the original carry case.
