Double Bass NS DESIGNX NXT OMNI-bow

Just received my NS Designs NXT OMNI (FRETLESS BUT 34" SCALE). Am looking for a bass bow and resin that would work with this bass. Note: this bass is played in Electric Bass Style. I used to play double bass but haven't touched one in years. Anyways, does someone out there have experience playing an OMNI bass with a bow and if so, what size (1/4, 1/2/ , 3/4) and type (German vs French) of bow did or do you find most useful?? Back when I did play and study DB, I used a German Bow as that I could achieve more dynamics in my sound. Your input would be most appreciated.
Thanks

You can use a full-sized German bow with the bass; plenty of folks do. If you want something more compact, you could also opt for a 1/2 size bow, which is slightly smaller. People have even used cello bows on the OmniBass (the original run of OmniBasses, at that time called the "Bass Cello," even included a cello bow in the bag as part of the package) so you should be able to figure some option out that works for you. But no reason that I see that you couldn't use a "regular" 3/4 or 4/4 size German bow with the OB if that is your preference.

That's an excellent idea. Didn't know small proprietary shops would want to talk to persons not looking to buy anything at the moment.
thanks Mark

I get why that might surprise you. But we got our start as a "help" website for upright bassists -- and then started selling things on the side. And we've never lost sight of that. ;-)
