NSB (new speaker day) Eminence Front!

I've had this little Carvin combo for almost 35 years. I've practiced with it, gigged with it, threw it in the back of the trailer, etc... you get the idea. I've had to have it repaired a couple of times in the past. Mostly loose/broken solder joints form the abuse it's taken. Always loved the sound of it and it was always surprisingly loud for it's size. Last week at practice, it started buzzing very badly. At first I thought it was something in the room buzzing in sympathy but, alas, it was my poor little Carvin. Took it home and figured out it was the speaker that finally gave up the ghost. Carvin being in the process of dissolving, resurrecting, or whatever, I could not find a factory replacement. Went online to my old standby Sweetwater and they had this Eminence 10" speaker that seemed like it would do the job. It arrived today and about 15 minutes after I sat down with my screwdriver and the amp, I was back in business. It sounds very close to the original. Doesn't seem to have lost much in the volume department either. For $69 bucks shipped, I'm calling this a win.
