Nyxl vs Sunbeam

Definitely a little more sizzle in the high end with NYXL’s. Punchier midrange as well. Both are excellent strings but I wouldn’t say they were very similar necessarily with the exception of flexibility. The NYXL’s are looser than XL’s but still just a hair stiffer than Sunbeams.

+1 Agree with your described.

To me, NYXL, Dunlop SBN and DR Sunbeam are in same tonal family but still has their own character. Love them on Jazz bass more.

NYXL= Crisp Dunlop SBN= Sweet and DR Sunbeam=Relax

Stiffness are NYXL(45-100) > Sunbeam (45-100) > SBN (40-100) ..... i know not fair to compare.
