Hi guys,
I am thinking of picking up a groovy octave pedal for my new Tony Franklin Fretless (ordered yesterday!!). The OC-2 seems to be the one that comes best recommended for the fretless bass (no doubt because Pino used one to such great effect). I have also been eyeing the EHX Microsynth for a while now, primarily to give me access to some really robust synth tones, but I realize that it also has an octave slider (and sub octave). Is there any reason this might fall short of the capabilities of the OC-2? From the videos I've watched the EHX seems to track really well, but I don't know how exceptional its octave sound is given that the pedal was not built for this, and, most importantly, I don't know if it would work well with a fretless.
Anybody have an insights? Thanks guys!
