Well, I'm not really sure if its common or not, but it seems odd to me.
I have been using a Crate BT50 for about 4 years, it has always been a great combo even though Crate has a pretty bad rep.
But lately it has just been acting strange, it seems to ramp up and down in volume once ever couple of minutes. It seems to be a pretty regular too, almost like a very very slow square wave tremolo. It has also been clipping at unreasonable low volumes now and then, but it hasnt gotten in the way very much at all.
Is there any way to fix this (the ramping)? Will it require a professional to check it out? or should I start looking for new amps all together (upgrade perhaps....)?
Thanks,
Sam
