Well seeing as I can't seem to find a ESP bass club...and yes I did search. I figured I would post a thread to double check and see if I can get any response. Show em' if you got em'.

below is my LTD B254...love it..main bass.

EMG HZ's ,3 band Active EMG EQ, Neck through

Paid $325 out the door with ESP hardshell case. Used..but gently.

Snagged an LTD B-50 for a great price today. Thing is super dirty but otherwise in great shape, neck is solid, frets are really nice, no sharp frets at all.

I'm gonna clean it up, restring it (tuned to BEAD) and give it a spin.

Not sure what these cost new, but this one seems on par with many $500-$600 basses I've played.

Never had an ESP or LTD before and I'm stoked! I'll post pics once I get her cleaned up.

Can I join? I was looking for a Gibson spec guitar but not a Gibson... and I love the 80s and Telecasters. I had reservasions about the LTD line but they definitely punch above their weight. I'm considering adding the matching finished PJ to my collection.

Got this 2007 LTD B5e in 2008 october! I changed out stock pickups and pre-amp for EMG TWX's and BQS in 2020 and haven't looked back since!

Guitarist of my original band just finished up tracking and mixing one of our demo tunes. No vox yet, but I used my LTD F-1005. LOVE the Fishman sound, and I only used a simple Whirlwind DI here...no external amps, pedals, or pc modelers.

Btw, if anyone knows a great singer looking for a prog metal/rock/funk/grunge/doom, etc band, send them my way! We're currently trying a guy in NJ, working remotely, so location isn't a big deal (primarily a studio band).

I like it, sounds great, right up my alley. That's the same sort of stuff I was playing back in my gigging days.

Hi guys! How would you compare ESP Vintage 4 to the LTD Surveyor 87? I once tried one and liked a lot, but they are quite rare in Finland. But there is one used Surveyor 87 available, so I was thinking is that anywhere near to the Vintage 4?

Sweetwater just sent pix of my new ESP. Arriving tomorrow. My first fretless in 40 years! I'm on pins and needles. Had it set up with some LaBella flats.

Picked up a B-205SM FL for an upcoming gig after having not owned a fretless bass since 2020. What an absolute gem this thing is! I bought it directly from ESP as a factory second (heck of a deal), and any cosmetic flaw on it is just that - cosmetic. The biggest turn on for this one was being a 34" scale and a 5 string with the string spacing that I prefer. The last fretless I had was a 35" scale 6 string and I really had to wrestle with it even though I have big hands. After I ripped off the factory strings (assuming they were D'Addario) and installed DR Pure Blues 45-125 with a setup, this thing really sings now and my fingers aren't getting shredded.

I've contemplated swapping the electronics to EMG, but in a band setting the factory setup sits very well in the mix. Other than a slightly lower output compared to my other active basses, I don't know how much more improvement I'll gain for the cost.

Wow, I always knew those Trick Stars are enormous from the specs, but they even make an RD shaped bass with several inches of body behind the bridge look teeny.

Yeah, I had to buy a new strap just for the Trick Stars because of how big and heavy they are. The Edwards is about 15 lbs while the black ESP is around 12 lbs

Heh, that's massive. Maybe someday I'll get an Edwards Blaikutron anyway. That oughta be slightly lighter, with the hole in the body and the smaller neck.

I actually own a Blaikutron too! You're correct, it's definitely lighter and easier to play than the Trick Stars.
