Ohm Question

Hi there, I'm new to these forums. I just had a question about ohmage for my new set up. I've been using a peavy tour 700 through a behringer 4x10 (bit lame i know but it was what i could afford at the time.)

My guitarist managed to blag a 2x15 loony bin style cabinet hand made by his old bass player, and he was told it runs at 4ohms.

Would running both cabinets together cause it to run at 2ohms?

if the 4-10 is 4 ohms, then yes.

Just for educational purposes there is no such word as Ohmage. The word is impedance.

If the behringer is 4 ohms then yes. If it is 8 ohms then It will run at a impedance of 2.66 which is still safe for a 2 ohm head. So you're good either way.

Careful there, the Tour series heads are designed for a minimum load of 4Ωs.
