ohms question

I have an Eden WT400 which is 235 watts RMS @ 8 ohms and 400 watts rms @ 4ohms. I have 2 Euphonic Audio VL110 which are rated 8 ohms each. I have briefly connected a third single 15" cab rated @ 8 ohms. This makes 3 8 ohm cabs total and it sounds great with plenty of volume.
Question: Could running all 3 cabs damage my Eden WT400?

well, it depends how they were wired

all in parallel = bad

all in series = really quiet

probably a bad thing cus im guessing you have them in parallel

it is possible this will damage your amp because your nominal load is now less the 4 ohms. Unless your Eden is stable below 4 ohms.....that, I don't know. It will say on the back of the amp.

+1.... running the 400 below 4ohms is a no-no.

One of the issues you are having is the extreme low efficiency of those original VL series EA cabs. You just aren't putting enough watts into them to open them up.

The new EA NL210 in 4ohm version sounds WONDERFUL with an Eden head IMO. It is not much heavier than the original VL110, and is much more efficient and full range (punchier lows and a nicer, crisper treble response versus the original VL's, etc).

A 4ohm VL will put out MUCH, MUCH more sound than your two VL110's, and still keep you in the 'EA family of tone' IMO.
