Ok I'm stuck between 3 SX Basses

I guess I'm weird, but I'd go with the first one. I really like the "vintage" tint on the necks, IMO it looks a LOT better in person.

For the difference in price between the first one and the LTD, you could get a Gotoh 201 bridge. The first one doesn't show it, but I think they have pearloid pickguards (my blue one did) that are a lot nicer than plain white.

There's nothing really "wrong" with the stock SX tuners, either.

I like maple fretboards.

If you want to add a switch to do a parallel/single switchpot, the chrome knobs are easier to pull. If I wasn't going to do the mod (which BTW I think you should try) I would get the black knobbed one, 'cause aside from the switch pot thing, I prefer fluted knobs.

Just pulled the trigger on the bottom one, since the HM bridge and hand fretted work sold me.

(Ridiculous International Shipping price though! thank the lord the dollar isnt up to scratch) lol

This doesn't get mentioned a lot, but if you use visual position cues a lot while playing, the LTD's white blocks on the maple neck are hard to see in low and stage lighting.

Otherwise, the LTD neck is well made. The binding is nice. The high mass bridge is okay but overrated. LTD Jazz pickups sound great. I'm impressed with the tone.

I'm currently thinking of getting the two Jazz models with the filmed quilt tops - one as a red quilt and the other as a 3TS quilt - and replacing the factory necks with Warmoth.
