OK, so Strange/Stupid pick question?...

So 'long time' might not apply but...I don't seem to have just one at this point. I'll use 0.6mm tortex or EB ever-last, all the way up to a Dunlop jazz III xl stiffo (~1.3mm). Just depends on what I'm playing and how I'm feeling. I hold them all a little different as well.

I've yet to like anything thinner than 0.6mm, or thicker than a 1.4mm. I've probably used picks with the sharper jazz iii point more than those with the rounder tip. I've used the rounder 'top' corners but not often. I've got tortex green triangle here but haven't used it much either, but I'm planning to try it more.

.70 Pickboy picks here. That's when I use a pick anyway. They have a grittier sound than a plain old plastic, or nylon pick that I really like. plus, when you drop one, you'll hear it hit the floor and not lose it.

I'm a big fan of the Dunlop Jazz picks in the XL size (vs the standard Jazz picks which are tiny for bass!). They offer great control, power, and fatness/punch while still retaining articulation but without too much "click". Both the red and black versions are great, the black has a bit more "click" while the red is a bit warmer but can still be aggressive: JAZZ III XL NYLON PICK

I also like the Tortex in .88 gauge (black) which is more aggressive/thin-sounding than the Dunlop Jazz picks but great all around.
