Ok, so this has to suck... (Ohio content!)

Hello. It's me, the poster of that ad (and many other similar ads today). I thank many of you for your support and any help you can offer. That 4003 was my prized possession. The police and I have had no luck locating her.

As a previous poster noted, you have only heard my side of the story. While I do try my best to remain unbiased in times like these, I believe that most people would consider the ex to be jail material in the end.

EDIT: as the ad says, I offer a reward for the safe return of my bass or any substantial information about its whereabouts. The last year has been a journey of severe mental and emotional hell with many of the things going on in my life; that Ric has literally been getting me through it all. I need to get it back. :(

She has your bass. Whether you owe her money or not, she has no right to take it without your consent.

That's why there is a court system here.

She's crossed the line no matter how you slice it.

Given the price of the bass (over $1000 constitutes grand larceny, I believe) AND the fact that she has a personally written note explicitly stating that the bass was YOUR possession, there's definitely possible jail time, but it wouldn't be more than a night's holding, a fine, and community service (today's judicial system is great...)

Good luck on the bass.

Did you have insurance on it? This just makes me think that I need insurance even more.

I owe her no money. To my knowledge, she ran off with an ex-boyfriend and used my Ric (and much, much more of my personal property) to fund her new life. She managed to completely clean out the apartment and steal several thousand $ worth of my things while I was at work.

Just to give some folks some perspective, Columbus to Findlay is about 100 miles. And it's 100 miles of small towns where a person could stay below the radar pretty easily. We know now the cops are involved, so the idea that they'll come swooping down and catch her with all the info they have is not quite true.

The way we can help here is by keeping a look out among musicians, local pawnshops, and other sources where a bass would turn up. A Ric is not a common bass, so if someone scores a good deal on a used Fireglo, there's a chance one of us will hear about it.

Damn bro. I feel for ya. I've dated my fair share of psychos.

I hope it turns up! Better yet, I hope SHE turns up so they send her ass to the slammer.

He may not have it in his possession yet.

The police may have to go through certain channels/procedures to get it back from the local shop at no cost to Warpeg.

It all depends on what their procedures are.

The local Music Go Round likely will have to pursue damages against the girl since they will now have to give up the bass to the police and then they give it to Warpeg.
