Old Black Basses

Okay, I'll be the first to tell you. Looking reliced in ten years depends on your finish for the most part. If it's got nitro like a lot of the older Fenders then yes, you'll get the mojo'd look. But if it's poly, then good luck with that because that stuff is made to withstand bullets.

Edit: Unless, of course, you got someone (like our own ibanezcollector) to relic it for you. He's actually working on relicing a bass owned by Nino Valenti and if I recall correctly, it's going to be finished in black, so keep an eye on that.

Edit edit: I think I should also mention that I've once seen a bass for sale with a bullethole in it, so maybe they can't actually withstand bullets.
 
It is finished with nitro i believe...It will not be made a relic by a person and I will not be playing any gigs that pt me in danger of recieving heavy gun fire... :)
