Old Hofner President. When made

I have a Hofner President Bass which gives a serial number? of 48 on the label. I just wondered if anyone can tell me the date it was made? John P

I would try the Hofner Police, the Hofner 500/1 Violin Bass, and the Hofner 500/1 - The Beatle Bass groups on Facebook. I have been able to get answers there I can’t get here on Hofner related questions.

Sometimes Hofner employees and dealers will chime in to answer questions. Good groups.
