old scotch tape removal

Right. Razor blades are excellent focused scrapers if masked off. A good sharp blade angle should be maintained.
The blade under the dirt, or tape will have a different feel than when you are scraping finish.

I own multiple cabinet scrapers and a burnisher. I get the burr by scraping it with the side of an old chisel. I had some teachers too : )

Anyway though i plan to, I don't use them often anymore.
Still, it's overkill for this task.

I used a thick 1x1 piece of plexi to do the pushing and scraping which worked very well. I didn't need to mask off anything.

I also figured out a simple wedge for the battery which is a good fit and easy to pull out.
