I realy like the color of this wood. Would it be a bad idea to use this as a body wood? I know it is on the heavy side but that dosnt realy bother me.

Please tell me you had some soft pads hidden under that beautiful instrument and that it's not really sitting on those rocks!

I got it while on a trip in the south of France. I had a really hard time finding it even though I was in "Olive country" because all the available Olive timber is sold directly to souvenir merchants. All souvenir shops down there are full of plates, pictures frames ect... made of Olive.
It's practically impossible to find. I got lucky, I walked in my tenth lumber yard looking for some and the owner immediately recognized my french-canadian accent. It's like the dude was in love with us or something so I got a really good deal on it.
So in other words, good luck finding some
