Olympia strings, any impressions?

Hello fellows,
I see some online retailers over here offer Olympia bass strings. They are even cheaper than Warwick Reds at about 10 Euro a set. AFAIK, Olympia is a Korean company. They are listed as hex core SS or NPS rounds. They even have flats.
Has anyone played them? I'm particularly interested in their rounds.

Well, nobody seems to have the answer, so I should give one.

About a month ago I ordered a set of 45-105 SS (HQB45105S) Olympia strings for 10 Euro, and installed them yesterday. I've tried low priced strings before, and was always disappointed. Warwick reds, Hartke, SQ... meh.
These ones are a pleasant surprise. They replaced a well worn out set of Billy Sheenah signature Rotos on one of my P-basses. Tension wise they feel similar to Rotos (hex core as well), save for the E which is 105, and thus lower tension. To me, they sound warmer than new SS Rotos, but not dull or dead in any way. I'd say they are similar in brightness to some NPS. They lack the famous piano-like tone of the RS/BS sets, but give a good amount of fundamental. Overall string to string tone and volume balance is very good, no boomy E or skinny G sounding strings. The output is a bit lower, compared to the Rotos.

So, IMO there is nothing wrong with these strings. Would I record with them? Probably no, but they are ideal for practice/rehearsal. For 10 Euro a set they are a very, very good deal.

Yes, nothing great or bad. Not growly, but not mid scooped either. If their tone reminds of something at all, this is D'Addario NPS. No complains for the price though. Will order several more sets.

Over a year later, I'm happy to report that Olymia SS strings continue to impress, especially for their modest price. During the last 13-14 months, I've used 5-6 sets on my basses. Never had a bad string. Nice and consistent. Highly recommended.
BTW, I couldn't find any info on the manufacturer. There is a website address on the box, but it appears to lead nowhere. Any info would be appreciated.

Try the Adagio strings, similarly priced. Been really impressed with them.
