One pedal turns another one on/off

I use a cheap Donner chromatic tuner pedal, and it works pretty well. However, any time I engage/disengage the tuner pedal, it automatically engages/disengages my Boss LMB-3. My head does not have a tuner out, so its just not an option. I've tried it in different orders but it always ends up with the same result. Anyone else ever have a problem like this? I'm assuming it has something to do with it being one of the cheapest tuner pedals on the market.

Thoughts?

What power supply are you using? A daisy chain? Just guessing, but it sounds like the tuner is causing the supply voltage to drop out when it's turned on, causing the flip/flop circuit in the Boss' electronic bypass to change states. If both pedals are battery powered, or powered from a truly isolated power supply (like Voodoo labs), then I got nothin'.

No, get a better (or new) compressor pedal. That's clearly where the problem is. A little power hiccup shouldn't cause this kind of behavior. I suspect there may be a problem with this pedal, (the LMB-2) most pedals have an electrolytic capacitor to smooth out the DC power to prevent this kind of thing.

That's what its looking like for a cheaper solution attempt.

That's a bummer. I love this pedal and hope its not a consistent issue if I replace it.

I'm powering with a One Spot chain, and it does nothing to my M80 DI, which sits right between the other two. Possibly since it has "true bypass"? I even tried plugging it into the second output of the MXR and it STILL causes the same issue with the BOSS. If anything, I'm perplexed, but its not the end of the world, seeing as I would only need the tuner between songs.

Anyway, thanks for the insight fellas. I'll keep you posted.
