I don't know. I think that color's looking awesome with that black pickguard! But, it's actually a good thing. I think im gonna take it back down, and go red instead of green. Keep the grain dark.

Yeah, it's cool. But, I've really been missing my red talman lately.Yo that would be hard for me to do (takin back down) I'm with Jeff K and LBS I am diggin that finish!! Jeezy it looks like a GEM in tha making...Whatever make it work fir ya but I like what I see so far.
Thanks Murph. She's gonna be bad when she's done. If it's anything like my last 10 projects, there'll be well more than a few changes before it's final. I'm one of them there experimental types. Trial and error is the best way to do anything.Another great pictorial Jeezy!
Love it so far.

I soak a rag, repeatedly, and scrub vigorously. Repeat til complete.Looks great, just curious how do you apply the stain so excess doesn’t end up running down inside the cavities, do you apply it with a sponge very little at a time or do you perhaps somehow mask off the inside walls of the cavities? I ask because I’ve tried this once too and it did not look nearly as nice as what you did...
Color tone purple bro.Do they not mark the weight in the pocket anymore?
That "3199" sticker seems new too. I have done few warmoth projects, and am in the process of two more, one of which is also a jaguar. Waiting on the body now, Swamp Ash, pretty sure I'm going to dye it similar to yours, but Purple. (will be my second purple bass, I'm still trying for one as awesome as the one in your profile pic). I like the Angelus Leather Dyes.
Can't wait to see how yours turns out!

And this wood took the green a lot darker than my last body did. ...wood. God makes every tree special. Never really know what it's gonna do til you do it.
I think I might though. It only takes like 5 minutes to get it back to wood, then another 10 to go through the grits. No biggie. Well see though. I'm gonna get a few colors, and some grain filler. Go from there.
