Opinion about future pedalboard (mostly MXR)

To be honest, I have spent hours, every dingle day since I posted this, looking for pedals ahhaahha.
A few updates on my dream pedalboard !

Pedals (in the Signal chain order)
-Tuner : Korg Pitchblack Advance (Already purchased)
-Compressor : Empress Bass Compressor
-EQ : Empress ParaEQ MKII Deluxe
-Octaver : MXR M306 Poly Blue Octave
-Chorus : MXR M83 Bass Chorus Deluxe (Already purchased)
-Phaser : MXR Custom Shop LED Phase 90
-Preamp : Two Tones ReVolt Bass

Effects Loop out of the Preamp :
-Reverb : Walrus Slö Multi Texture Reverb
-Loop : Ditto Looper (Already purchased)

Power Supply:
Cioks DC7 and Cioks4 (advanced noise filtering, light, durable, small)

Pedalboard :
Rockboard 4.2 (Already purchased)

Patch cables :
Vovox

Patchbay :
EITHER Rockboard Mod 1 V2 OR a Custom homemade patchbay with Neutrik chassis plugs at the back of the Rockboard. I want to plug everything at the back of the pedalboard.

Since I am 8 years old, I am considering adding LEDs beneath the pedalboard provided they don't hum or buzz. I can't wait to finish this project!!

I have said this before -- you appear to have an eye for quality.

I would skip the 10 band graphic EQ they tend to control too wide a range of frequencies and are not usualy the best sounding and can add noise.

My "fine tuned" board has three (3) MXR effects, but no other parts of the signal chain. Sorta vintage vibe effects.

Phase 90 ILD Limited Edition
Micro Flanger
Carbon Copy Delay ILD Limited Edition

(I don't prefer Chorus)

I do not have Reverb, but didn't like the MXR on Bass.

Update ! (Yes again again)

Just purchased a Chromatron. Waiting to receive it !
I am still finishing the building step of my pedalboard.
I only miss the Octabvre MkIII and Doom2.

HPB-2 handmade pedalboard from DESS is almost finished too. Custom power box will be delivered tomorrow.
Almost done.

Almost entirely made of boutique pedals. MXR BCD is the only non boutique pedal I coild have kept. It’s awesome.

Almost done !

- Peterson Strobostomp : Great. better visibility than the Korg Pitchblack, and I have an optional input buffer.
- Empress Effect ParaEQ MkII : Amazing. Best EQ around ?
- 3 Leaf Audio : Need I say more ? That effect loop is great.
- Empress Effect Bass Compressor : either transparent with full control, or slightly tinted. I love it.
- 3 Leaf Audio Doom2 : Ordered ! Should arrive late August / early september.
- 3 Leaf Audio Octabvre : Ordered
- Jam Ripply Fall Bass : Amazing as well. Subtle Chorus and stage 2 phaser.
- Walrus Slö : Great for ambiance. Unique reverb
- Hologram Electronics Microcosm : Never seen such a pedal before. Crazy. I love it
- Noble DI : Ordered on wait list. It will arrive in march 2024.

- DESS HPB2 720 OL Pedalboard : ordered. It should arrive in July.


I received the Evidence Audio for the patch cables with the MDPC-X cable sleeves. It looks like nothing can be improved now ahha.

Why not. I would like a Vulcan but I honestly never play with a drive.
